New High Speed 100cpm Case Packers from OCME

OCME S.r.l. from Parma Italy, in collaboration with their local partner HBM Packaging Technologies, are pleased to announce the release of a new series of Altair Wraparound Case Packers which can reach speeds of up to 100 cartons per minute.

The first of these high speed models has been installed in China at a leading brewery and has been designed to pack glass bottles at outputs over 70cpm with maximum efficiency.

By making minor modifications to the existing Altair design, OCME can guarantee speeds of 70, 80, 90 and 100 cartons per minute, making the new packers ideal for large scale production facilities in the beverage market.

         Design changes include:

• A second, additional carton blank feeding unit in order to decrease the relative speed of the cartons being introduced into the packer.

• Two independent electronic adjustable finger selection groups which allow a gradual flow of product formats to the carton blanks.

• The standard blanks magazine is easily accessible to the operator and its capacity can be increased and automated by adding a robot which loads blanks directly from the pallet.

Carton quality is maintained by the proven flap lockup device, adjustable gluing system and positive press system (achieved with spring loaded sliding blocks) and which can be set according to the type and size of carton and required output.

Simple format changes can be achieved quickly through the PC HMI due to the considerable use of brushless motors on all models.

More than 1300 OCME case packers have been installed worldwide in the past 25 years, from the low speed, low cost Altair X30 model through to the high speed Altair N70/80/90/100 Series.
