World Premiere for Krauss Maffei 230 ton electric AX model

Krauss-Maffei GmbH of Munich Germany premiered and demonstrated the new AX 230-750 all electric moulding machine at their recent Spotlight Open Day on May 7.

The new 230t machine adds to the existing line-up of AX 80 (80t), AX 100 (100t) and AX 180 (180t) and further raises the bar on clamp force.

The AX range is designed as an entry-level machine for the General Purpose all-electric machine market.

For the ‘open day’, the AX model was teamed up with a standalone LRX-S 100 linear robot.

The system produced 74 x G-hanger elements for the consumer sector with the integrated robot placing the parts on a conveyor belt and the separated sprue into a take-out for granulation.

 The AX 230-750 is a high speed, energy efficient & economic solution, which combines all the advantages of all-electric machines.

These features include:

·         the optimized 5 point twin toggle

·         a powerful plasticizing unit

·         Self-explanatory MC5 controller with 19-inch touch-screen

 Apart from the option of a standalone robot, Krauss Maffei offers integrated manufacturing cell concepts, which transform the AX machine and LRX robot into an efficient, versatile and space-saving automation solution.
