Adjustable Calibration Sleeves for PE Pipe from Krauss Maffei

Krauss-Maffei GmbH Extrusion of Munich Germany, have released to the market a range of adjustable calibration sleeves in order for plastic pipe producers to minimize the number of tooling dies.

The result is that 4 to 5 SDR classes can be covered with only one sleeve, and the cost of one sleeve is very competitive when compared to other adjustable sleeve systems.

Advantages:-

• Adjustable sleeves for all DIN-EN diameters, from 16mm to 800mm available

• Other diameters are available on request

• 4 to 5 major SDR-Classes can be handled with one sleeve

• Easily adjusted on-the-fly (during extrusion) due to:-

  • New wall thickness requirement

  • New material (resin) changeover

  • Different extrusion speed

  • Tighter tolerance requirement

• Pipe production as close as possible to MIN-tolerances

• HDPE-Materials with different shrinkage rates no longer require separate sleeves

• Sleeves can be used in combination with standard vacuum tanks

• Sleeves can be fitted to most pipe extrusion  machines
