The Krauss Maffei machinery was chosen as it offers a special screw
concept that is engineered to be equally effective in processing virgin
PVC and also at mixing recyclates and highly filled formulations.
Recyclates are increasingly being used to form the core layers of window
profiles in order to reduce resource consumption and costs. The Krauss
Maffei conical extruders are extremely high wear resistant due to
special molybdenum welding techniques and optimally suited for
processing recyclates.
Jen Munchow, Profine Group Technical Manager stated; “We’re very
impressed by the high quality and flexible deployment options for Krauss
Maffei systems. The extremely compact machines are ideal for processing
a wide range of profile formulations from low-cost to high-value. The
compact machines save production floor space and can be altered and
adjusted quickly and allow flexible injection from various positions
relative to the main extruder, in addition the co extruders can be
docked onto different co extrusion dies with no adaption effort; they
can be shifted by hand in any direction.” |
