World leader in PVC window profiles chooses Krauss Maffei

The Profine Group of Germany, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of window profiles, has purchased another profile extrusion line from Krauss Maffei. The order will also include seven additional stand alone KMD 63/P conical twin screw co extruders for two of their German sites. Profine Group with famous brands such as Kommerling and Trocal, has a 20% share of the global window profile market with manufacturing in 8 countries and employs 3200 people across 21 countries.

The Krauss Maffei machinery was chosen as it offers a special screw concept that is engineered to be equally effective in processing virgin PVC and also at mixing recyclates and highly filled formulations. Recyclates are increasingly being used to form the core layers of window profiles in order to reduce resource consumption and costs. The Krauss Maffei conical extruders are extremely high wear resistant due to special molybdenum welding techniques and optimally suited for processing recyclates.
