Krauss Maffei PP-R hot water pipe system chosen by Turkey’s largest plastics processor

.Krauss Maffei Extrusion of Munich, Germany – have recently installed two new PP Pipe line systems together with ten new KMD 114-26/P profile extruders to IBG Pakplastik in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest plastic processor, who manufacture plastic pipe, window profiles and sheet.

One of the Pipe lines will produce multi-layer PP-R pipe, where the middle layer is filled with glass fibre. “This is a special, new type of pipe especially suited to hot water applications, because the component properties combine to minimize longitudinal expansion”, explains Markus Geisenhofer, Sales Manager at Krauss Maffei.

Krauss Maffei has been supplying IBG Pakplastik with extrusion lines for the past 15 years and in 2005 IBG Pakplastik expanded into pipe production and now produce pipe between 16 and 1000mm diameter, including polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), Corrugated pipe and Aluminum composite pipe (ACP).
