BarcoVision a global leader of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are pleased to announce the appointment of HBM Plastics Technologies as their sales partner in Australia and New Zealand for their suite PlantMaster MES products.

The PlantMaster system monitors and synchronises manufacturing activities from either independent operations or multiple site production facilities. It has been designed to seamlessly integrate with a company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. It supports both cabled and wireless networks to connect to a central server. It includes Bluetooth capability which allows the installation to be as easy as ‘plug & play’.

By using a Microsoft Windows® operating system and ORACLE® database, PlantMaster offers a collaborative suite of application modules that can provide ‘real time’ solutions for:

• Machine monitoring

• Alarm management (for example email to a PDA)

• Planning and scheduling

• Quality control (SQC)

• Management of machine settings (SPC capability)

• Traceability (to FDA protocol if required)

• Preventative maintenance planning

• Spare part inventory control

It provides visibility on all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), enabling companies to achieve operational excellence using customized windows if required and allows for rapid responses to changing conditions.

PlantMaster is particularly effective in meeting the needs of activities such as those required in the plastics manufacturing environment from single to multiple plant operations.
