Leading Australian Beverage manufacturer installs SBC Hot Fill Line for juice, isotonics & tea products

SBC Bottling & Canning of Parma Italy, in conjunction with their local representative, HBM Packaging Technologies, have recently installed and commissioned a SBC Hot Fill line for the production of juice, isotonics & teas, for a leading Australian beverage manufacturer. The line will be used to fill both glass & PET bottles.   

SBC are renowned globally for their Hot Fill technology for juice & isotonics (sports drinks), flavoured & modified Waters and Tea drinks.

The Hot Fill technology features:-

• Accurate filling temperatures (+- 0.5 deg C) achieved through servo-driven filling valves

• Precise product filling to mouth level with no product spillage

• Controllable, variable recycle blend capability, even in the case of bottle absence

• Output speed ranges from 3,000bph to 60,000bph

• Systems available in a range of pitch sizes from 94mm to 141mm

• Systems available as  Filler / Cappers or Rinser/Filler/Capper tri-blocks

•  PET and Glass container handling on the one machine

• Light weight PET handling with neck and base control

Sealing and capping technology:

• Integrated induction sealing for standard and sport caps

• Integrated steam purge twist-off capping for glass containers

Another prominent feature of the Hot Fill systems is the unique electronic filling valve, which allows versatility and flexibility when running frequent multiple changeover of products and bottle sizes, minimising the downtime required to changeover.

The filling valve is controlled and managed ‘on-the-fly’ from an operator panel view, which does not interrupt the production. The data settings are pre-programmed and can be recalled instantaneously, to accommodate different bottle sizes / or products
